Our Story
Owner: Peaceful Sunshine Pierce (But Everyone Just Calls Me Sunshine)
Mission Statement: Taking the waste out of farm life and educating people while doing so.
Sunshine's Upcycling Farm Started in April of 2020
I have always been a huge advocate of local and small farming as well as eco friendly alternatives, but never thought that I would be able to do something on a larger scale about the problems. While working at a feed store and living on a farm I saw so many feed bags coming and going.
In April of 2020 I opted to stay home from my job at our local feed store to hopefully stay safe during the pandemic. During that time I taught myself how to sew feed bags into tote bags. I posted a picture of them on a farm Facebook group that I was in, and they were a huge hit, so I kept on sewing. As the world started to open back up, I went back to work and even took a role in managment, working on this in my free time. Summer 2022 after missing yet another summer of farmers markets, I made the decision to go back down to part time and make this my full time.
